The Original No. 95: A Bold Return to Our Roots

The Original No. 95: A Bold Return to Our Roots

In 1995, Kevin Wiesehan opened St. Louis’s first specialty espresso bar in the Paul Brown Building downtown. It was a bold move—long before lattes were mainstream in the Midwest. At the heart of that café was our original house blend: smooth, rich, and quietly powerful.

Today, we’re bringing it back—with a new name and a fresh look—but the same uncompromising flavor.

Why We Call It The Original No. 95

This isn’t just a nod to the year we opened—it’s a tribute to the blend that started it all. The Original No. 95 is our signature medium roast: a balanced, small-batch coffee that’s been fueling early mornings and big ideas for nearly three decades.

It’s the same proprietary blend Kevin crafted for the original espresso bar—now with a bolder personality and a bag you’ll be proud to keep on your counter.

A Family Affair, Then and Now

The new packaging? Designed by Kevin and Holly's daughter Kelly. Because great coffee runs in the family—and so does great taste. (She also designed this website and is writing this sentence - hello!)

The Original No. 95 is more than just a coffee blend; it's a piece of St. Louis coffee history.

What’s Inside the Bag

  • Medium Roast: Smooth, rich, and versatile.
  • 100% Arabica Beans: Sourced from top-tier growers in Colombia and Guatemala.
  • Small-Batch Roasted: Ensuring consistent quality.

Whether you brew it in a drip machine, pour-over, or French press, The Original No. 95 delivers a cup that's both comforting and invigorating.
